Hauora / Wellbeing
Haeata’s Hauora space is a safe place to come to for support, advice and advocacy. We partner with external agencies to ensure strong links that support our whānau and ākonga.
We all bring a different set of skills but are weaved together with aroha for the community and ākonga of Haeata to see them succeed in learning and in life.
We are passionate about supporting ākonga, their whānau, the community – empowering them to be the best they can be.
He taonga te mokopuna, kia whāngaia, kia tipu, kia rea.
A child is a treasure, to be nurtured, to grow, to flourish.
There are many groups being facilitated by our Hauora team. We have a Champions 4 Life boxing class, partnering with Jamie Roberts, A-town Boxing gym. We are also partnering with Waipuna Trust and Bro’s 4 Change, who are supporting many of our young people with youth mentoring and social support.
If you or someone you know, would like support from our Hauora team in any way, please don’t hesitate to ask for help. We offer many different forms of support including counselling, mentoring, food parcels, referrals to external organisations, advocacy, group programs and many others.
