Mobile Dental Aotearoa is coming to Haeata Community Campus from Monday 10 August.

If your child is year 9 -13 and under 18 years old, they are entitled to FREE dental care, funded by Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora.

Mobile Dental Aotearoa will be visiting Haeata Community Campus to provide dental care in a modern, fully equipped mobile dental clinic.

What does the service include?

Each enrolled student is entitled to an annual dental visit, which may include:

A dental check‑up
Dental x‑rays
Oral health education
Teeth cleaning
Fluoride treatment and fissure sealants (if required)
If your child requires further treatment, such as fillings or extractions, we will contact you to discuss this and arrange another appointment on the mobile unit at school. Whānau are welcome to attend. Patients can opt out of any part of this bundle easily on the enrolment form.

All treatment is FREE.

Parents and caregivers must enrol their child directly with Mobile Dental Aotearoa.

Students 16 years old and over can enrol themselves.

For students who are 18 years or older, our advice to whānau is:
If your child is 18 years old, please still enrol with Mobile Dental Aotearoa and we will follow up with information on what support we can offer.

 

In relation to enrolment more broadly:
Students can only be enrolled with one funded dental provider at a time. Unfortunately, Mobile Dental Aotearoa would be unable to see students who are already enrolled with another provider.
